Celebrating Our 2026 Award Winners!

What a way to finish the 2026 season.

 

Over the past two weeks, we have celebrated the outstanding achievements of our players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and clubs across a fantastic series of awards events.

 

Our Awards Season officially kicked off on Monday 31 August with our online Best & Fairest counts and presentations, recognising our MixxFM 17 & Under Netball, Len Mathieson Colts Football, Mawsons Concrete & Quarries Reserves Football and our Mildura Health Fund B Reserve and GMG Financial Group B Grade & A Reserve Netball award winners, alongside a number of specialty awards including Goal Kicking, MVP, Central Rivers Netball Umpire Awards, Les Pay Identity of the Year and Zambrero & Mildura Health Fund Coaches of the Year.

 

The celebrations continued on Wednesday 9 September with our Junior Presentations at the Swan Hill Jockey Club, where we recognised our Mildura Health Fund 13 & Under and 15 & Under Netball Best & Fairest winners, as well as the Mildura Health Fund Under 15 Football Best & Fairest.

 

Our Awards Season then culminated in a fantastic final event, the Jack Betts & Julie Wardle Medal Night, held at the Swan Hill Town Hall on Sunday 13 September.

The evening brought our football and netball community together to celebrate our online award winners, while also revealing the highly anticipated Jack Betts & Julie Wardle Medal vote counts and winners. We also celebrated our Club Excellence Award and Teams of the Year recipients, recognising the incredible contributions and achievements across our clubs throughout the 2026 season.

 

A huge congratulations to all of our award winners. Your achievements are a reflection of the talent, commitment and dedication that continues to make the Central Murray so special.

 

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and helped bring our Awards Season to life. Most importantly, thank you to all of our players, coaches, umpires, officials, clubs and supporters for making Season 2026 one to remember.
