A Grade
What an absolute cracker of a game the girls played against Hay!
From the very first whistle, the girls were switched on and focused. They worked hard all game, supported each other with positive talk during the breaks and maintained composure under pressure.
The game stayed tight, with only a couple of points separating the teams each quarter. It was a real seesaw in the final quarter. We hit the front with not long to go, and the intensity never dropped. In the end, we went down by just 3 points, but the fight and determination shown was second to none.
We could not have asked for anything more from the girls — every single one of them should be incredibly proud of their effort.

B Grade
Another tough game against Hay.
The girls struggled to find their rhythm, and despite changes made throughout the game, it was too little too late.
To help shift their mindset, we decided to mix things up in the final quarter and let them choose their own positions:

Stacey (WA), Haylee (C), Kiara (WD) 
Jess (GD) & Brooke (GK)
They came off the court laughing and with smiles on their faces, which was a great way to finish the game.

Bres
The girls held their own in the first half with only being a few goals down to the top side at half time before the score started to push out towards the end of the game. Mandy played a great game in defence, those long arms assisting her to get intercepts and the much-needed rebounds. Whilst Taylah gained multiple intercepts through the mid court and was always an option when bringing the ball down the court. Thanks to Summer for stepping up and being a key player for the team again this week.

C grade
The girls came out strong and got themselves the lead early on in the game. They held onto this lead until the final minutes of the game only to lose by 1 goal. Huge achievement for the team against the top side. Shows how far this team has come and the potential they have.
Lucy played a killer game in defence getting multiple intercepts and rebounds in the ring. Whilst Daneika had control of the mid court, creating space and being an option when it was needed. Thanks to Jorja and Flick for helping us out this week.

Under 17
It's always a tough gig up at Hay and with a few sickies, plus the deb, we were left extremely short.
When half your side is missing, it's hard to get momentum, but with the U14s help we were able to take the court and that's what it’s all about! 
 
A huge thank you to the 4 Under 14s who played 2 games today and also the ones on our bench, we appreciate it heaps. 

 

Georgie was on fire in the ring earning her the top award and Bella who run her little heart out in the mid court, getting the sportgirl award

 

 

 

Under 14

Despite the long drive and missing 5 of our girls, the team still put in a strong and determined performance against Hay. The girls displayed great resilience, adaptability and team work throughout the day, keeping their heads up the whole time and fighting up until the very end. We had young gun Ayla Wishart come up from U12s to help our girls out. Ayla is a very speedy and strong player and ended up taking away our best on court! Our other awards went to Mollie Wilson and Breeze Star who held down our defence end very strongly. Mollie has not played much GK but played a very good game getting lots of tips and turnovers. Breeze is a very reliable and versatile player that dominated down in the defence end winning lots of ball for our girls.

Under 12 
A tough trip to Hay this week for the girls. Hay is a very strong side and we had to work hard all game to find the front position and create the space we needed. Our footwork has improved and the girls are starting to put together all of our strategies from training to become well rounded, versatile netballers.
Awards this week went to Indi (Tiger Cash) for her constant repositioning in the ring for front position, and to Alannah (MMWFP) for her effective defensive pressure. A shout out to Maddi whose glasses broke mid game, but she still persevered and went back on even when we couldn't get them fixed.
