A grade
What an emotional weekend—our final game of the season, and our last one together in this league. It was a game filled with heart, determination, and so much pride. The girls gave it absolutely everything. From the first whistle to the last, we fought hard, backing each other and playing with true passion. We wanted that win so badly, and every player left it all on the court. While the scoreboard didn’t reflect the result we hoped for, we walked away with something far greater pride in our effort. Thank you girls for being apart of this journey we had.
Awards
Stacey Barbagello - who stepped up from B Grade into the Goal Keeper position. It was no small ask, but she rose to the challenge with grit and determination. Stacey brought a whole new level to her game—relentless, focused, and refusing to give an inch.
Emily Robins - had an outstanding game, constantly winning ball and working tirelessly across the court. Her energy, confidence, and talk were needed. She showed real fight from start to finish.

B grade
The girls put on a display of determination, grit, and teamwork in today’s game. It was clear they were in for a competitive game but they never backed down. Defensively, Stacey, Holly, Brooke & Kiara rotating in the backline they worked tirelessly, contesting every ball and forcing turnovers at crucial moments. In the midcourt Cat, Haylee showed great composure under pressure, transitioning the ball to the goal circle. Jess & Renee continued to work hard & moving beautifully in the goals and not dropping their heads. Although the scoreboard didn’t reflect the heart the girls have, this game was a true testament to the team's spirit.
Awards
Holly Cameron - Played a ripper game, showing strength across the board. Excellent positioning, strong body on body work, solid rebounds, and strong drives down the court.
Stacey Barbagello - Backed it up in B Grade after a full game in A Grade. Played three quarters in defence and one in shooter. Stacey showed great game awareness, strength, and control throughout.

It was a hard-fought game. The first quarter wasn’t our best as we struggled to adjust against a tall and athletic team. However, the girls regrouped and turned it around, matching Hay across the final three quarters. Taylah was consistent and reliable through defence and midcourt, while Sam injected great drive into the centre and finished it off with some impressive shooting. We were treated to a special mother–daughter defensive combo with Mandy and Summer, and most excitingly, the return of Sherri to the court. Bring on Finals!!

The last game of the round was a hard-fought battle.
With some late withdrawals, the team was left short in the midcourt, but it was fantastic to see Shez and Georgie step up to help out. In defence, Lucy, Dessi, Maddi, and Rhian battled tirelessly, coming up with some great deflections. Up front, Mandy, Dee, and Tenielle were once again consistently strong in attack. The three combined so well, showing they will be a real force to be reckoned with come finals. Bring it on, girls!

The scoreboard didnt reflect the game at all. We played our game for 4 qtrs & we're positive throughout the game with some beautiful channels & plays taking place. Miley was ever so consistent through the midcourt & persevered against a tough opponent, winning her the Sportsgirl award.
Indi found a new love for WD & had amazing intercepts and drives down the court getting her the top award.
We play Ultima at Hay this week in the first final which I'm sure will be another game of who is better on the day. Be proud of your efforts this year girls & make the most of the hype of finals time!

Tough game this weekend against the top team, but the girls held their own and should be proud of how they played. Even though we didn’t get the win, there was great effort across the court from everyone. Each girl did their part and we couldn’t be happier with them. Best ons for the day were Mollie Wilson who played one of her best games of the season winning lots of ball for the team and applying lots of defensive pressure and Kenzie Wilson who played heaps of different positions and did so with a great attitude, holding her own out on the court. Great job girls!!

This week saw us play a 6 quarter game against Hay, allowing the kids from both sides a bit more court time for their last game of the season. To celebrate the year, our girls were able to play in 3 favourite positions on court, which is always fun for them. We had a slow start allowing a strong Hay side to get 12 goals to 1 over the first 2 quarters, but then we started focusing on leading to the ball and our defensive pressure, coming back to within 3 goals by the end of the game. It's always been a tough game against a strong Hay side, it was so great to see them work so hard as a team to come so close this week.
Congratulations to our award winners this week Ayla (Tiger Cash) and Jordy (MMWFP) for their strong game play all game.
A huge thank you to our award sponsors this year - Janelle Ladson for our Tiger Cash awards, and Murray Mallee Wood Fired Pizza for the pizza awards. The girls have loved receiving them each week and celebrating not just best on court, but achieving little milestones along the way, or demonstrating a skill they have been working hard on.
