The River Raiders travelled to our near neighbours Kerang last Saturday and guess what!, we finally broke our run of outs against them, after years and years of copping a hiding or two, the boys decided that they had had enough, so congrats to all teams on the day, a magnificent effort!. After a slow start the Seniors eventually got their game going to run away from the Blues and remove that stigma of them beating us in the game earlier in the year. As for the Ressy’s and Colts, both would keep their opponents scoreless to score big wins. Unfortunately our under 15’s lost but were not disgraced. Congrats again to Kayla, Macy and their team on the ‘Xmas in July” function last Sat. night, plenty of fun and frivolity went on, the good crowd enjoyed themselves celebrating our win so well done girls. Our next major function is the “Ladies Day” which is always a very popular event, it’s on the 9th Aug when we play Lake Boga at home. Just before we get onto the awards, for anyone interested the Seniors are currently sitting in 5th position on the ladder but also have a 3 game break on 6th, the Ressy’s are sitting in 2nd spot, the Colts are also 2nd and the Under 15’s are 5th,, netballers are going well also with A Grade knocking off Kerang last weekend and they are sitting 3rd at the moment, so as a club pretty sure we are going okay!. Awards in the Seniors went to Paddy Goble (Counterpoint Man of the Day), Kye Attwell (HMF Award), Harry Bremner (Barham Caravan Tourist Park), and Jack Thrum (Barham Hotel voucher) Jack is in our leadership group and led by example, others to play well were Reagan Hamilton, our rock in defence, Jordan Bassett, Jacob Barrington, Isaac Corvo & Jack Thomas. The Ressy’s turned it on again, 176 to 0 which is a massive effort in any footy language!. Awards went to Todd Frankling (Wes Hare Scooby of the Day), Matt Lolicato (Matesy’s voucher), Tom Amor (Mitre 10 award, Shaun Thomas (Barham Hotel voucher), others to play well were Lachy Laursen with 5 goals and Matty Dean. The Colts did the same as the Ressy’s, kept their opponents scoreless, 151 to 0. Awards went to Kynan Laursen (Raiders Socks), Xavier Leonard (Don Taylor Pen), Ryder Laursen (Wilma Bott Canteen voucher), and Mitch Lowry (Hard Yakka HMF), Coaches Cash went to Jye Hamilton.

Guess what, another bloody bye this weekend, don’t think we have ever had a stop start season like this one, but after this weekend we have got our run home to the finals with Nyah Utd our next game at Nyah. We are also due for a final this year, not confirmed yet but hopefully!.
